Individuals find it troublesome when something bad or wrong happens; either, to them or when they are a witness. Executives frequently have workers in this position who are distracted and unproductive. They sense that something is wrong, but they may not be able to pinpoint what to do (or if anything needs to be done).
Do you stay silent? Do you continue in a dysfunctional environment or with dysfunctional colleagues? Do you quit? People facing ethical dilemmas, or are seeing problems with the work or habits of others are unproductive and harder to retain.
Unethical things always happen in a group setting. It may be at work, in the not-for-profit sector, or as part of a sporting group.
Sometimes the culture may be the problem, or it may be particular individuals in the group bending an otherwise healthy environment. To this end and as a former sports coach, I offer independent, practical ethics-related coaching services for individuals and organisations of any kind.
I have worked in the academic and practical fields of ethics for more than 25 years and have delivered expert ethics services to employers, employees, volunteers, professional associations, community groups, and those involved in sport (at all levels). I have many other qualifications, other experiences, such as five children, change management certification.
